Living and Learning

This past week in ISM, we concluded our speeches with mine being one of the last. While I was glad to finally deliver my speech, I was disappointed with its execution. That for me was one of the biggest challenges this past week. The challenge was not the actual speech, but dealing with the fact that I knew I could have done better and I should be doing better as an ISM II student. I feel like I failed myself. I did not explain my original work to the best of my ability and used verbal fillers. At the level that I am at, these things should be rudimentary yet they proved to be areas of improvement. However, I know that these things are an extremely easy fix and because of that my final presentation speech will be a drastic improvement and hopefully my best speech in ISM thus far. However, this week did have its strengths as well. I completed all of the preliminary research necessary for beginning my final product and created an invitation for final presentation night amidst all of the chaos that is soccer season. Additionally, I officially found a new mentor who I was actually bouncing ideas with for my final product. With that being said, this coming week I look forward to working with my mentor to fully develop my final product in addition to researching and working out the subtle details for FPN.
