An Uphill Battle

This past week in ISM I had to complete the original work proposal in addition to my second interview assessment. While this past week in and of itself was not particularly taxing, I am starting to feel the fatigue of senior year. ISM is picking up heavily in terms of the assignment due dates, I am still taking rigorous classes however, the primary challenge this year is applying to college. College applications have proved to be quite the time commitment, and that coupled with my course load and extra curricular responsibilities is proving to be quite a test. Last year it was a bit more manageable as the deadlines that were set did not directly determine my future, however these college applications exude a certain amount of pressure with their due dates. However, one of my strengths this past week, and even in the distant past is my time management ability. Last year in ISM taught me how to manage my time even amidst a rigorous course load, and so I am using the same skills this year however, the amount on my plate right now is a bit overwhelming at times. However, this week I did have to edit my original work idea. I had my first interview and so I realized from the interview that since the product development process for each company is unique, I should stick to trying to improve a single company instead of a generic universal process. However, what I want to learn is whether the improvements that I propose could make their way to the company somehow. Now I know, that the company seeing the proposal let alone giving it their time of day is unlikely, but I would still like to try from my end. In terms of next week, I look forward to getting started on my original work through doing some of the preliminary research required, additionally I look forward to having my third informational interview to help guide my research and just learn more from the field.
