ISM Pt. 2

So I started ISM again. I'll admit with the workload of ISM, many people think that I'm crazy. But the reason I did it again was all for improvement. After finishing ISM last year, I felt like something was missing. I wasn't satisfied. I did not get what I wanted out of it at all. So that's what brought me back. Everything that I did this past week such as the research assessment, and interview questions felt extremely natural. I did not have any trouble completing them. One of my biggest goals for this year is to work at a faster pace than the deadlines. Doing so will allow me to accommodate for any factors that are out of my control such as research interviews falling through, or certain events being postponed. Additionally working at a faster pace will allow me to do more research and thoroughly flesh out my original work and eventually my final product. For me, this is particularly important because product engineering is something that I want to pursue as a career and the fact that I will get to spend a significant amount of time researching and developing my product will give me a significant edge once I exit college and start applying for jobs. With that being said, at the same time I need to use the extra time to be meticulous and not rush through anything. The faster work rate should not cost quality nor productivity. From here on, I look forward to learning as much as I can about the product engineering industry and getting informational interviews in very soon.
