Knocking Things Out

This past week was primarily a productive week. There was not much to learn but a lot to do. I finished all of the research assessments and interview assessments. One of my biggest goals this past week as that I go my time management skills improved to the point that I am now on top of all my ISM assignments. I turned everything in on time this past week and took care of everything even with extracurricular activities to juggle. This week all I have to complete is one interview assessment and formulate an outline for my research speech. I believe that from here on out it should be relatively smooth sailing because it is the last week of the six weeks, I have completed all of my major grades for my classes so now I can fully devote my time to ISM. One of the biggest things that I am thinking about now is selecting a mentor. Ideally, I would like to conduct one more informational interview, but the more that I think about it, I believe that I already found my mentor in one of my interviewees. Going through this phase of indecisiveness is something that I hope to sort out within this coming week so that I can go into the new six weeks with a more structured agenda in terms of ISM. Another big challenge that I have coming up is trying to accommodate my research time for my original work on top of things like volunteering, school work, and studying for standardized tests. However, I believe that if I continue using my planner, I can most likely sort this issue out and it may be possible that I will have to move some things around or may have to change my sleep schedule but whatever is necessary will be done. While time management has certainly improved as a skill of mine, there is definitely room for refinement. Most importantly, going into the new six weeks I would like to have as much planned out as I can so that I can mentally prepare myself as well as prepare myself in terms of a regimented schedule.
