Light at the End of the Tunnel

ISM is increasingly revealing its challenges. While the content is not hard, the amount of work is a particular challenge. However, it is not anything impossible. One challenge that I encountered this past week in particular was getting contacts to respond back. Most of the time the number would just go straight to voicemail, regardless of how many times I tried to follow up. I believe the reason this is so challenging is because this is my first true experience of the notion that in the professional world, no one is serving you. Throughout the schooling system, the teachers, administrators, and staff were providing you a service and were readily available to assist you in your needs, this is certainly not the case in the professional world. However, despite its difficulty, I did manage to schedule two interviews for October 5th with a team member of Seven Tablets and a team member of Bottle Rocket Studios. Additionally, someone got back to me from Five Pack Creative, and I am working on scheduling an interview with that particular professional from Five Pack Creative. My strategy from here on out in terms of contacting will be to simply try and find a particular individual that can assist instead of trying to have a receptionist filter through the company’s directory. Additionally, a particular goal for me this week is to get completely ready for the business symposium, as well as my interviews on Friday. I am expecting my mock interviews in class and the business symposium will well equip for my interviews. Additionally, I have compiled all the appropriate materials to prepare for the business symposium. All in all, this week started quite rough however there was light at the end of tunnel when I got my interviews scheduled, and now with those interviews scheduled, I hope to prepare for them to the best of my ability.
