Progress and Pandemics

So this past week has been very interesting. I went into spring break with the mindset that I would get to relax a little and just ease a little. However, my relaxation was a bit interrupted with the introduction of COVID-19, or the coronavirus, in the United States and in my community. Because of this, the practice of social distancing has increased exponentially and my spring break did not pan out in the most desirable way. Moreover, I am not allowed to meet with my mentor which is more of a hindrance. However, if there is anything that ISM has taught me over the past two years it is resilience. I have gone through so much adversity and so many challenges over the span of a year and a half, but it is true what they say, challenge builds character. Over the break, I just continued to research for my final product and then I mentally planned how I wanted to execute the rest of the year in the context of the possibility that we could have online school for the remainder of the year. Additionally, this week my priority will shift to actually finding out a way to start my final product independently and discussing with my mentor on how the rest of the year will look like. With that being said, I look forward to working through this time of sheer adversity and find a solution instead of getting hung up on the problem.
