The Time has Come

Winter Showcase is finally here. This event feels like the culmination of quite literally everything that I have learned not just about mobile app development but about professionalism as well. ISM has taught me so much professionally (soft skills), such as presenting effectively and nonverbal cues. So Wednesday night, I am elated at the prospect of being able to exhibit all the skills that I acquired outside of my topic. I think that having a strong sense of professionalism is crucial to success in life so to be able to showcase that is something I look forward to. Moreover, I will be able to practice speaking to strangers that may not be particularly interested in my topic. In class, obviously my peers and teachers are interested in the topic, but the general population is not passionate about mobile app development. This is why I believe that Winter Showcase is so great because it will allow my passion to make the topic of mobile app development attractive to strangers. And to top it all off, it is at the Ford Center at the Star, which is one of the most attractive business locations in Frisco. Overall, the energy around this event feels very invigorating and almost awe-inspiring and a bit surreal. I did not expect last year that in a year I would be delivering a presentation of this caliber in a nice suit at the Star. Hopefully, Wednesday night will live up to the hype and everything goes well.
