The Way Life Goes

This past week in ISM was relatively easy. There were no particularly difficult or tedious assignments to complete, however, we are getting ready for one of the most important parts of ISM before FPN, which is our Original Work Reflection speech. This speech will serve as the final piece of the puzzle for the FPN speech. With that being said, all we did was sign up for the presentation date, however, I decided to go ahead and get a head start on the speech, in part of my increased effort to improve my time management skills with soccer season in full swing. Given that, I believe that this past week in ISM was one of my most productive weeks so far this semester. I began my OW Reflection speech, then I completely updated my digital portfolio, and then after that, I began researching for the annotated bibliography that I need to complete by the end of the month. Because of my spike in productivity, I believe that this past week time management and diligence was my biggest strength. This past week did have its challenges though. Towards the end of the week, my mentor had to withdraw from the program due to an increased workload. Now I am in a pursuit of a new mentor and it almost feels like I am back to square one. However, this just serves as a testament to how reflective ISM is of a professional environment because in the "real world" things fall through and contingencies are necessary to cover for those circumstances. With that being said, this next week in ISM, my biggest focus will be to secure a mentorship and in class, continue to develop my speech as well as add to my annotated bibliography.
